About Roots Zhao
Hi, I’m Roots Zhao, a Chinese teacher from Chengdu, China. I have been teaching Chinese online for 6 years and have worked with students of different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds from around the world.
I hold a Mandarin Proficiency Test (Level 1 Grade B) certificate and an International Chinese Teacher Certificate. My teaching focuses on practical communication, clear pronunciation, HSK learning, daily conversation, and Chinese culture.
Beyond teaching Chinese, I have also worked as a volunteer museum guide for two years. Every week, I visit museums and introduce historical artifacts and cultural stories to visitors. This experience has taught me how to explain Chinese history and traditions clearly and engagingly, and I hope to help more people understand Chinese culture beyond the language itself.
