Complimentary 20–30 Minute Chinese Assessment
Before beginning regular 1-on-1 lessons, you will receive a complimentary 20–30 minute online assessment and consultation with Roots. We will discuss your current Chinese level, speaking ability, learning goals, preferred lesson style, and the most suitable learning plan for you.
This free meeting is an assessment and consultation for every category of 1-on-1 student, rather than a complete regular lesson.

Refund Policy
Unused 1-on-1 lessons can be refunded after discussion with Roots. Refunds are calculated based on the number of remaining unused lessons and the actual situation.
Cancellation & Lateness Policy
Students may cancel or reschedule a 1-on-1 lesson at least 2 hours before the scheduled class time. Cancellations within 2 hours before class are not supported and the lesson may be counted as used. Roots will wait in the classroom for 15 minutes. If the student does not arrive within 15 minutes, the class will be closed and the lesson will be counted as used. If the student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time and the missed time will not be added back.
